Property taxes high enough for you?

Last year, assessed property tax valuations in Stark County skyrocketed by an average of 30%. That means half the increases were higher.

With the property tax crisis and economic inflation of 21%, the current school board placed $27 million in NEW TAX levies on the ballot while continuing to deficit spend: -576,716 (‘23), -$256,827 (‘24), -$882,076 (‘25).

Now, the County Auditor’s Association of Ohio is projecting ANOTHER 25% to 30% INCREASE in property tax assessment values statewide in just a few years.

Ohio already has the 8th HIGHEST property tax burden in the U.S., higher than California and New York yet ranks 40th when it comes to salaries.
